From the Caddo DA: Shreveport Man Found Guilty of Possession of a Firearm By a Felon

A Shreveport man whose criminal past prevents him from possessing a gun was convicted of attempting to possess one yesterday.

30 year-old Timias Jackson, was found guilty of attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon by the seven-woman, five-man jury in court after deliberations that lasted about 90 minutes.

DA James Stewart’s office called four witnesses to prove Jackson possessed a gun, knowing that he had been convicted of a felony that prohibited him from possessing it, after having been found with a firearm in the home where he was located…
