UPDATE: Boil advisory has been lifted.
The hot, dry conditions is taking a toll on Shreveport’s aging water infrastructure. For the past several weeks we have not had any measurable rain across the region. This causes the ground to crack when it is so dry and that causes the pipes underneath to crash.
Shreveport Interim Water and Sewer Director Brandon Snead tells KEEL News there were multiple water line breaks in south Shreveport. This has prompted the city to issue a precautionary boil advisory because of these problems.
The precautionary boil advisory includes customers in the following areas:
• 400–500 blocks of Lynbrook Boulevard • 500 block of Sally Ann Drive • 8700 block of Janet Circle…
