77-year-old woman dies after fire at Arlington home

A 77-year-old woman has died more than a week after a fire broke out at her home in Arlington, Virginia, fire officials say.

Deborah Boyd succumbed to the injuries she suffered in the June 14 fire, the Arlington County Fire Department said Wednesday.

Firefighters rescued Boyd from her home in the 6000 block of 25th Road North that afternoon, the fire department said. Medics took her to a hospital with life-threatening injuries…
