True Food Kitchen has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and closed 12 restaurants nationwide, but the chain’s Annapolis Town Center location remains open for now.
The Scottsdale, Arizona-based restaurant company filed for bankruptcy protection on October 4 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. The company said the restructuring is intended to strengthen its finances, reduce costs and streamline its restaurant portfolio.
True Food Kitchen entered bankruptcy with approximately $42.1 million in funded debt and is pursuing a court-supervised sale process as it looks for a long-term partner or buyer.
