Montgomery County Passes Unmask ICE Act; Bans Masked Law Enforcement

The Montgomery County Council unanimously passed the Unmask ICE Act (Bill 5-26), which prohibits federal, state, and local law enforcement officers from wearing masks or facial coverings while on duty in the County, with limited exceptions.

The legislation was introduced by Councilmember Will Jawando and supported by multiple Councilmembers.
