B-29 DOC arrives at Sioux Falls Regional Airport for public rides

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Sioux Falls Regional Airport has a special guest this week, as B-29 DOC landed at Joe Foss Field on Sunday.

B-29 DOC is one of only two B-29 Superfortress bombers that are still airworthy and flying today. Built by the Boeing Company in 1944, the bomber served until 1956 and has been restored after more than 16 years of work.

It’s in Sioux Falls this week, and the public can get a chance to get inside and ride in the bomber as it takes flight…
