SPOKANE, Wash. – Work has commenced on a new mural that will bring over 5,300 square feet of public art to the alley between Post Street and Lincoln Street, located one block south of River Park Square, according to the Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP).
Designed and painted by local artists Stacie Boyer and Jennifer Batey, the work is expected to be one of the largest murals in the downtown area, aiming to portray the history, character and culture of Spokane.
“The new mural celebrates the people, places, events and traditions that have shaped the Lilac City over the past century,” the nonprofit stated. “The colorful design showcases recognizable Spokane landmarks and moments while highlighting the distinctive character and history of downtown.”…
