SPOKANE, Wash. — Next week marks one month since fires ravished parts of Spokane and surrounding areas. Homes and cars were lost. So were livelihoods.
The Washington Employment Security Department says they currently have 74 unemployment applicants identifying themselves as impacted by the Spokane complex fires. One of them is James Miller.
“It was like a second family,” he said of his time working at the Spokane Rifle Club. “I realized it a lot more when it’s not here anymore. I miss all the people.”…
