The move is expected to last from April 30 through May 8. Job Center staff will be available at the library at 397 E. Central St. in Springfield from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a community announcement.

The roof replacement is expected to create a major disruption to foot traffic in and out of the Job Center’s current location, according to the announcement.
“We thought it was in everyone’s best interest to temporarily move operations to the library to avoid the disruption,” Ericka Schmeeckle, assistant director of economic vitality and workforce development for the City of Springfield, said in the announcement.
