SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — As part of the Route 66 Centennial Celebration, a National Celebrate America on Route 66 Parade will ride through Springfield Friday evening.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and travel from Glenstone Avenue up St. Louis Street and into downtown Springfield through Park Central East into Park Central Square. The parade is expected to disband at Campbell Avenue at or before 8 p.m.
Several dignitaries, including John Goodman, former Missouri senator Roy Blunt and Springfield Mayor Jeff Schrag, will also be a part of the parade, along with floats, marching bands and other performance groups…
