(NewsNation) — Attorneys for Scott Peterson, convicted in the 2002 murders of his wife and unborn child, will ask a California judge Wednesday for access to evidence they say they say could help exonerate him.
The request comes during a post-conviction discovery hearing, where Peterson’s legal team is seeking materials tied to an orange van found burned near the couple’s Modesto home the day after his wife Laci Peterson disappeared.
