Pothole Palooza: City of Tacoma aims to ‘repair or prevent’ around 9,000 potholes

TACOMA, Wash. — Drivers across Tacoma say potholes have become more than a nuisance, with some reporting damaged vehicles and repeated flat tires.

Now, the city is rolling out a targeted repair effort on some of its busiest and most-complained-about roads. Kaylie Rainer, who lives in Tacoma, said the problem is widespread in her daily routine.

“The potholes are horrible where I live and by the bridge, and it’s also bad where I work. People’s cars are bottoming out constantly. I’ve had multiple flat tires near my job,” Rainer said…
