WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A man is behind bars after being accused of firing shots near “a private gathering involving juveniles” in Wakulla County Saturday, according to the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office.
Clifford Stokes, 70, was arrested and faces charges of reckless discharge without violence, trespassing: firing a projectile across private land without authorization and resisting an officer without violence, the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement to social media Monday morning.
His arrest comes after deputies responded to Ashley Hall Road at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday due to the communications center receiving a 911 call reporting that gunshots were fired near a home where juveniles were gathered, WCSO said.
During the investigation, authorities said that witnesses reported “multiple gunshots and described bullets traveling through the area.” Furthermore, witnesses also advised deputies that the shots appeared to be coming from a neighboring home…
