Probation Check Leads To Major Drug Bust And Multiple Charges In Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. – A routine probation check in Tampa on Friday led to a major narcotics investigation and the arrest of a 63-year-old man on multiple drug trafficking charges, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office joined probation officers on Aug. 7 to conduct a check at a home on the 12000 block of Peony Court. During the visit, probation officers located illegal narcotics inside the residence involving Robert Adkins.

Detectives subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant for the home. During the search, investigators seized more than $6,500 in cash along with additional illegal substances…
