TAMPA, Fla. — A busy stretch of South Himes Avenue is shut down today as city crews work on the local water system.
All travel lanes on South Himes Avenue between West Platt Street and West Roland Street will close at 9 a.m. to allow the Tampa Water Department to carry out maintenance on the area’s water distribution network.
City workers have placed barricades and detour signs throughout the corridor to direct drivers around the work zone.
