Oldsmar Commute Horror As 6-Year-Old Left Clinging To Life In Tampa Road Crash

A late-afternoon commute in Oldsmar turned dire Thursday when a two-vehicle crash at Tampa Road and St. Petersburg Drive left a 6-year-old girl with life-threatening injuries and sent four people to the hospital. The collision shut down lanes at the busy intersection while first responders worked the scene and cleared debris.

Crash details

According to Tampa Bay 28, deputies say the crash happened just before 4:45 p.m. when a 2015 Nissan Altima driven eastbound by 27-year-old Jayanna Clark and a 2021 Tesla Model 3 driven by 52-year-old Christy Proctor entered the intersection at the same time and collided. Clark and Proctor were reported to have minor injuries, while a 4-year-old boy in one of the vehicles suffered serious injuries and a 6-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
