Two Dollar General employees accused of scheme stealing nearly $44,000 of items to sell on Facebook Marketplace

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Two women have been arrested and charged with theft for a scheme that took product from a Dollar General store that was later sold on Facebook Marketplace.

Marsha Schultz, 44, and Stacey Leestema, 46, are charged with Grand Theft, allegedly stealing nearly $44,000 from the store on Alexis and Lewis between May and August of 2025.

In the police report, the manager of the store said she saw the two pretend to scan items being checked out by co-conspirators posing as customers, as well as hiding items in bins.

Those items would then be sold on their Facebook accounts…
