‘Keep going’: Whitehouse triathlon draws hundreds to push limits and find camaraderie

Moments before diving into the clear waters of Nona France Quarry for his first triathlon of the year, Howard Hammes felt his prerace jitters dissipate.

“I was a little nervous, but now, the nervousness is starting to thin out,” he said. “I feel a little more relaxed.”
