More than 10 years ago, Patrick and Angele McGrady donated $25,000 to Lourdes University to endow a modest scholarship fund.
Now, while students displaced by Lourdes’ shutdown negotiate transfers to other institutions, Ms. McGrady is anxious about the disposition of that donation and others like it, and whether scholarship awards to former Lourdes students will be disrupted by the legal process to transfer the money.
“What we’re all furious about is the way they treated these kids,” Ms. McGrady said, “and the new fury is trying to get Patrick’s money out.”…
