TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Crews responded to a fire at the former Mount Vernon Elementary School on Friday, according to Toledo Fire & Rescue Department officials.
A 911 call came from a neighbor around 6:30 p.m. reporting the fire at the building, located at 825 N. Byrne Road, said Sheldon Collins, TFRD public information officer. The building is an old Toledo Public Schools elementary school.
When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the roof. No one was inside and no one was hurt, Collins said…
