A 38-year-old man was shot early Tuesday while in the parking lot of a central Toledo apartment complex, authorities said.
Police said they found Frederick Hendricks sitting in his car suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh just before 4 a.m. Mr. Hendricks told police he had been checking the air pressure of his tires outside the apartments, in the 900 block of Dorr Street, when he was shot once.
He said he didn’t see anyone shoot him and could not provide any more details. Mr. Hendricks was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center for injuries that police said were not life threatening.
