TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo mother has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison in the 2023 death of her 7-year-old son, whose death investigators said was caused by neglect.
Lucas County Prosecuting Attorney Julia Bates announced that Judge Joseph McNamara sentenced Samantha Hardiman on March 13 after Hardiman pleaded guilty to murder on Feb. 27.
Hardiman originally was charged with two counts of murder, one count of involuntary manslaughter and three counts of endangering children in the death of Kristopher Snyder, a 7-year-old boy with special needs who was found dead inside a home in the 1700 block of Freeman Street in June 2023…
