The second of two men charged with a North Toledo man’s fatal Dec. 12 shooting entered an Alford plea to murder Thursday morning in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
The plea that Tywone White, 35, of the 700 block of Leach Avenue, entered in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for the shooting death of Scott Hirschfield, 70, does not admit guilt but allows him to avoid a stiffer penalty if convicted of the indicted charges at trial.
White had been charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, and other counts that could have landed him much more than the life sentence, with parole eligibility after 15 years, that he now will most likely receive when Judge Lori Olender sentences him May 11…
