Grand jury indicts two women after infant homicide ruled fentanyl toxicity

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo mother and grandmother are facing felony charges after a grand jury handed down indictments Thursday in connection with the February death of an infant.

The indictments for Leeonna Cherry and Taletha Kropp follow the death of 9-month-old Makayla Huff, who died of acute fentanyl toxicity on Feb. 19.
