Suspect in custody after shooting person with pellet gun in Frenchtown Township

MONROE — A 44-year-old male is in custody after shooting an acquaintance in the face with a pellet gun in a dispute at a Frenchtown Township mobile home park on Friday, Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough said.

Around 7 p.m., sheriff’s deputies and Michigan State Police troopers responded to the 200 block of Mark Drive, where the suspect’s vehicle had been reported. Officers saw the suspect inside a residence, looking through the blinds. He then exited the home peacefully and was taken into custody, Sheriff Goodnough said.
