New Birding Guidebook: Birds of the Toledo Area

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A new birding guidebook was release in late April called Birds of the Toledo Area.

“You can do a regional field guide for a lot of different cities, but it wouldn’t sell very well because the birding is not nearly as good as it is in the Toledo area,” says Matt Anderson who is the lead author of Birds of the Toledo Area.

Anderson is just one of five local experts who collectively dedicated 10 years writing this birding guidebook. It recaps all 381 species of birds that are known to have occurred in Toledo. Toledo is special because of its proximity to Lake Erie…
