Reasor’s launches summer food drive to help families facing hunger

TULSA, Okla. – The Compassion in Action campaign runs through June 23 at all Reasor’s locations statewide and aims to support families struggling with food insecurity during the summer months.

How Can Customers Help?

Shoppers can participate in several ways while visiting any Reasor’s store:

  • Donate money at checkout
  • Purchase pre-filled donation bags
  • Contribute directly to local hunger relief efforts

According to store leaders, every dollar raised stays within local communities and benefits organizations, including the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

Greater Need for Food Assistance

Company leaders say food banks often experience increased demand during the summer, when children lose access to free or reduced-price school meals. Thomas Beard, a district manager for Reasor’s, said even small donations can make a meaningful difference for local families.

“Every person is a difference maker,” Beard said. “So, whatever amount that you can afford to donate toward this cause would be wonderful. Obviously, school’s out, and there’s just a lot of things going on, and in today’s times, it’s more needed than ever. But particularly focusing on that summertime need there.”…
