Williams plans purchase, improvements around headquarters building downtown

TULSA, Okla. – Williams plans to invest in the downtown headquarters for the company, according to Tulsa’s Mayor, who said the City and Williams have signed an agreement to pursue the sale of several City properties. The agreement lists two parking garages and the Williams Center Green, and plans to maintain and provide security for the Boston Avenue bridge, and the Center of the Universe.

The agreement says both the Green and the COTU would remain open to the public during the day. Williams has not commented on their plans for new investment downtown.

Mayor Monroe Nichols said the understanding would have private dollars improving some public property, and ensure that Williams was able to protect continued investment in the headquarters at the heart of downtown…
