Suspect arrested after over 88 thefts in two years in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A suspected serial thief was arrested Wednesday after police said he was involved in over 88 theft incidents in the past two years.

According to Portland police, officers arrested Taja’mar Hepburn, 29, who they said is a suspect in over 88 separate retail theft incidents that affected at least eight different stores with a total loss estimate of over $115,000.

Hepburn is facing 42 charges, including 26 counts of second-degree theft, 13 counts of first-degree theft, first-degree aggravated theft, third-degree theft and third-degree escape.
