Teen accused of drunk driving in fatal Clark County car crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – After several months, an arrest was made Tuesday in connection with a fatal car crash in 2025.

According to officials, on Aug. 2, Clark County deputies responded to a report of a single-car crash on NE Reilly Road in east Clark County. When officials arrived at the scene, they found a 2013 Jeep Patriot blocking NE Reilly Road with significant passenger-side damage.

The crash killed the passenger, 18-year-old Nicholas Ortiz who was declared dead at the scene.

The driver — identified as 19-year-old Matthew Kenne — was able to exit the vehicle but sustained injuries. Police said Kenne also displayed signs of impairment, leading their Traffic Homicide Unit to open an investigation…
