NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Some Norfolk firefighters went above and beyond the call of duty Saturday by completing a patient’s job for them.
On Saturday, July 25, Engine 12 and Medic 12 responded to a medical emergency involving a delivery driver. After providing care and transporting the patient to the hospital, Engine 12 took the food delivery and made sure it got to its destination by delivering it themselves.
In a Facebook post, Norfolk Fire-Rescue said “The emergency may have been over, but the opportunity to help wasn’t. It’s moments like these that remind us serving our community goes beyond answering the call–it means looking out for one another whenever we can!”…
