CHESAPEAKE, VA. (WAVY) – Lisa Woodley was delivering meals in Chesapeake when she noticed smoke coming out of a resident’s window.
Woodley has been delivering meals with Meals on Wheels for six years now. On Monday, she was making deliveries to residents at Starling Village apartments, a 55+ community off South Military Highway. That’s when she noticed a fire that had started in a resident’s apartment.
“I went upstairs to the second floor and was rolling my cart and I looked up and there was a fire,” said Woodley, “it was a lot of smoke.”
