VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY)– An 18-year-old man and a gunshot victim have both been arrested following a shooting in Virginia Beach Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 500 block of Marsh Duck Way at 1:45 p.m. Emergency Communication and Citizens Services also received reports of shots fired in the 900 block of Atlantis Way.
Man seriously injured in shooting on Atlantis Drive in Virginia Beach
When officers arrived on scene, they found a 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
As a result, Quatavious Reid, of Virginia Beach, was arrested. He faces the following charges:
- aggravated malicious wounding
- use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
- possession of a trigger activator (switch) and extended magazine
Police say the victim was also arrested as a result of this incident. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Both are being held in Virginia Beach City jail without bond…
