Six major Oceanfront events are coming to the Resort Area between late August and Halloween—bringing heavy traffic, full garages, and a major Atlantic Avenue closure to different stretches of the beachfront on different weekends.
According to the city’s event planning guide, each event is expected to draw more than 10,000 people per day, with traffic, parking, and road closures hitting different parts of the Oceanfront throughout the fall.
The biggest disruption comes with Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend, running September 25–27 along 1st through 33rd streets. Atlantic Avenue will be closed from 2nd to 32nd streets on September 26, and municipal lots, garages, and on-street parking are all expected to be at capacity.
