Portsmouth resident looking for new “drinking buddy” after decorative skeleton stolen from front yard

PORTSMOUTH, VA. (WAVY) – A Portsmouth resident says he was shocked to come home to find out his decorative skeleton friend, who was an integral part of his front yard, was stolen.

Devon Martorella says he’s had the skeleton, who he named Harold, for 2 years now. He says Harold started as a decoration for his bike but soon found a permanent spot in the front yard sitting in his chair.

“I just decided to start decorating him for different holidays and leaving him outside,” said Martorella, “I got one of my chairs out. I gave him a beer, and me and Harold would just kind of sit out here and hang out sometimes.”

Martorella says in the year and a half Harold sat in the front yard, the skeleton became more than just a decoration, even calling him his drinking buddy…
