NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Nearly 3,500 Dominion Energy customers in Norfolk were without power at one point Sunday afternoon.
The outage area affected parts of the Neon District, Young Terrace, Calvert Square, Barberton, Hunter’s Square and Olde Huntersville, as well as the North Ghent Historic District. Areas along Colonial Avenue, Llewellyn Avenue, Monticello Avenue, Church Street, as well as Virginia Beach Boulevard, Brambleton Avenue and up to West 24th Street.
There are 609 Dominion customers without power in Norfolk as of 7:30 p.m. Sunday, with the outage cause determined to be an equipment problem. Most of the Dominion customers affected are in the following area below:
