VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Two juveniles are in custody after police recovered a stolen firearm and a large amount of cash Saturday in Virginia Beach.
An officer came across a group of juveniles wearing ski masks and attempting to open a car door. The group immediately fled the scene at the sight of the officer. While fleeing, a backpack was dropped, which contained the stolen firearm and hundreds of dollars in cash.
The officers later found the group again and took two juveniles into custody. The owner of the backpack is fully cooperating with VBPD’s investigation.
