WASHINGTON (7News) — Thursday will be a day to stay weather-aware across the Washington, D.C. region. A hotter and more humid day with afternoon temperatures rising to the mid 80s and feeling like we are in the mid 90s.
Strong to severe thunderstorms possible during the afternoon and early evening. The main window for storms looks to be between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., with the D.C. area and I-95 corridor most likely seeing storms around 5–6 p.m..
Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to around 90 degrees ahead of the storms. A very moist atmosphere combined with increasing instability and stronger winds aloft will create an environment capable of supporting organized thunderstorms…
