BOWIE, Md. A Maryland father is facing multiple charges after allegedly shooting his girlfriend and mother of his six kids during an argument over school supplies, court documents revealed.

What we know:

Kimball Hinton, 41, was arrested on the front lawn of his Bowie home in the 8500 block of Myrtle Avenue Thursday evening after he allegedly shot the 38-year-old mother in the head as she was sitting on her bed holding their 2-month-old.

Hinton is charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, and gun offenses.
