Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to two separate incidents near the Potomac River and Billy Goat Trail in the Great Falls area Sunday morning.
The first incident was reported near Lamberts Island for people in the water and a medical emergency. According to MCFRS, a young adult had fainted or passed out from exhaustion. The individual refused transport and was reunited with their parents.
A second response occurred on Billy Goat Trail Section A, where a person was injured in a fall. MCFRS swift water boats and ground crews responded, and the patient was transported by boat to an EMS staging area before being taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
