One taken to hospital after shooting near Nats Park

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police are searching for two people who ran away after a shooting near Nationals Park late Sunday night that left a man hurt.

The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on May 3 in the 1200 block of Half Street SE. This is near Nats Park and The Bullpen.

There, police officers found a man who had been shot in his right leg, according to the police report. Medics took him to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the victim’s injuries are “believed to be non-life-threatening.”
