Country Club Leaders Rally For Local Children’s Charities

As economic uncertainty continues to put pressure on families and the nonprofit organizations that serve them, more than four dozen country club managers from Vero Beach to the Florida Keys came together to raise critical support for children’s charities across South Florida. The event was held Thursday, May 14, at the Wycliffe Golf and Country Club.

At a time when many nonprofits are being asked to do more with less, the Seminole Region Charity Golf Tournament Committee of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) is rallying community leaders, clubs and supporters around a shared mission: helping organizations that provide children and families with educational opportunities, essential services, autism support, financial and career literacy, and other lifechanging resources. The need is especially urgent as many households and charitable organizations continue to feel the effects of inflation, higher living costs and broader economic instability.

“This tournament reflects a shared commitment to helping children overcome adversity and pursue brighter futures,” Committee Chair Michael McCarthy said. “At a time when economic uncertainty is creating added strain for families and the nonprofits that support them, it is more important than ever for our community to step up. These organizations are doing essential work, and they need our help now more than ever.”…
