WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Anyone driving around downtown Wichita may have noticed tents, signs and orange safety fences going up for Riverfest.
The first day of the festival is Friday, and BreAnna Monk, the CEO of Wichita Festivals, said crews started putting together the volunteer headquarters and the first aid tent.
To help festival facilitators put everything in place, some roads in downtown Wichita will be closed.
Starting Wednesday, Douglas Avenue from Waco Avenue to Water Street will be closed. Traffic cones will also be put up on McLean Boulevard across the Douglas Street bridge to northbound Waco Avenue…
