SEDGWICK COUNTY — A mother accused in the drug overdose death of a 15-year-old Kansas girl at her home was back in court this week.
Law week, Danielle Wheeler, 53 and her son Isaac L. Hord, 24, both of Wichita attended an arraignment hearing in Judge Jeffrey Syrios courtroom, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office.
Wheeler pleaded not guilty and will face a trial set to begin in October, according to the district attorney’s office.
Hord pleaded guilty to distribution of a controlled substance causing death and aggravated child endangerment for the death of 15-year-old Kennedy Herren, according to the District Attorney’s office. He is scheduled for sentencing in November, acording to the district attorney’s office…
