‘I shouldn’t have done it’: Affidavit details alleged Wichita car theft, scuffle with police

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The arrest affidavit of a man accused of assaulting a Wichita police detective in March was released Wednesday.

Dayten Pollard, 18, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, burglary, theft and interference with law enforcement.

He was arrested on March 17 outside a north Wichita motel after a struggle in which a police detective suffered injuries to his face.
