WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A project announced this week will revitalize an area of downtown Wichita, but some wonder how it will affect the homeless population in that area.
A nonprofit founded by Chase Koch will remodel the old Shirkmere Apartments as part of a mixed-use development.
Concerns about displacement
The nonprofit Movement Musick announced Tuesday that it plans to revitalize the area of downtown Wichita near Second and Emporia. Many people worry this will displace the homeless people who live there.
