(NEXSTAR) – It seems like everything is getting more expensive. From gas to groceries, the cost of living feels like it’s getting out of hand and hard to keep up with.
But although home prices have climbed in recent years, the average monthly mortgage payment has fallen since 2024, according to a new report from LendingTree.
The report says that in 2025, the average monthly mortgage payment across the country dropped from $1,990 to $1,942, a 2.4% fall.
