A city south of Wichita has been named the third-safest city in the state by one online ranking.
Security research company Safewise released its 10 safest cities in Kansas ranking, and Mulvane, home of the Kansas Star Casino, was close to the top.
With a population of about 7,000, Mulvane gained the third place recognition with a violent crime rate of 0.6 in 2025 and a property crime rate of 11.1, according to the ranking. And Mulvane is not the only Wichita suburb to make the ranking…
