WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Wichita organization is helping people foster independence and achieve their dreams.
Ability Point believes that every person deserves opportunities to learn, grow, feel safe and belong. As the CEO Kevin Fish explains, they provide these opportunities through a variety of educational, social and recreational programs for people of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“We’ve got about 200 events or activities we do every year for both youth and adults to help people who really have the best quality of life they can have,” Fish said. “And then we do a lot of advocacy and self-advocacy programming, helping our people to find their own voice, helping families to know what they can do to help advocate for their child’s independence, and we’re just here to kind of fill in the gaps, help people to really find the best opportunities for their children.”…
