WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – After a wet, and white Wednesday across Kansas it is a dry but unseasonably cold start to the day with wake-up temperatures in the 20s and 30s. However, bright blue skies will take highs into the lower to middle 70s this afternoon which is near normal for early May.
Both Friday and Saturday will be mostly sunny and even warmer with highs in the lower to middle 80s respectively. The bonus will be a relatively light breeze less than 20 mph.
A cold front is scheduled to arrive this weekend bringing storm chances back to the state. However, we are looking at scattered storms, mainly on Saturday night, and the chance of severe weather is low. All the activity will be long gone by Sunday morning leaving us dry and pleasant on Mother’s Day with highs in the middle 70s…
